A port side view, from midships to stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathmuir (1971) discharging containers alongside a wharf at Dubai. The photographer is looking across the open quayside showing the ship using her own cargo cranes and Stulcken derrick to work containers. A 20 feet container is being unloaded from number 3 hold by the Stulcken derrick and lowered onto a low loader trailer while another has been lowered onto the quay by the midship tandem crane. The aft tandem cranes are about to lift a container from the rear of number four hold. The forepart of the ship forward of the Stulcken mast is out of the picture. She has a corn coloured hull and the P & O shadow logo is on her funnel. Transparencies numbers P64582CT to P64589CT were taken on the same occasion.
