On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Mataura (1968) or Manapouri (1968) working cargo alongside a berth in the Port of London. The photographer is looking aft from the port side of the forecastle abreast the forward bipod mast. The ship is berthed port side to the wharf and she is using her own cranes to load cargo. Packing cases from the Ford factory, destined for Auckland, New Zealand, are stacked in number two hold. A Ford D series lorry, a Ford Transit van and a Minivan are on the quayside. The bays of the two-storey concrete shed are numbered 8 to 14 and the tracked mounted cranes have one leg on the edge of the quay and the other at first floor level on the shed. The word 'Expo' is on one of the shed doors. Transparencies numbers P64705CT to P64714CT were taken on the same occasion.
