The Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Mataura (1968) or Manapouri (1968) working cargo alongside a berth in the Port of London. The photographer is in a slightly elevated position on the quayside abreast the forecastle of the ship looking aft. The ship is berthed port side to the wharf and she is using her own cranes to load cargo. She has a corn coloured hull and her funnel has the P & O shadow logo on it. The bays of the two-storey concrete shed are numbered 8 to 14 and the tracked mounted cranes have one leg on the edge of the quay and the other at first floor level on the shed. On one of the shed doors is a notice with the word 'Expo' on it. Transparencies numbers P64705CT to P64714CT were taken on the same occasion.
