A Coles mobile crane being unloaded from number 2 hold of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Melita (1971) in a British port. The ship is using her own 30 ton derrick to lift the vehicle out of the hold. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from an elevated dockside position abreast the ship's masthouse, showing most of the ship's forepart. The ship is berthed alongside a wharf which is equipped with track mounted pedestal cranes and looks out on an open estuary. Transparencies numbers P64748CT to P64753CT were taken on the same occasion.
