On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Melita (1971) alongside a berth in Liverpool Docks. The photographer is on the starboard side of the deck abreast the forward end of number three hold looking to port and aft showing a pallett fork containing sacks being lowered into the hold which already has a substantial number of red-painted steel drums of Shell Alvania Grease loaded. Positioned against the port side of the shelter deck are sacks of Scotaferm chicken feed. Transparencies P64788CT, P64789CT and P64821CT to P64836CT were taken on the same occasion.
