On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Melita (1971) alongside a berth in Liverpool Docks. The photographer is on the starboard side of the bridge wing looking forward and slightly to port showing a pallett containing four red-painted steel drums of Shell Alvania Grease being lowered into number three hold which already contains a large number of these drums. A sling holding a wooden packing case and a number of cardboard boxes destined for Malta is also being lowered into number three hold. A 48-C75 fork lift truck numbered 02-0285 is working in the hold. A vertical format negative. Transparencies P64788CT, P64789CT and P64821CT to P64836CT were taken on the same occasion.
