A starboard side view of the cargo liner Nigaristan (1970) loading a Rolba 5 Mk II tracked trenching machine in the South West India Dock, London. The machine is on a wooden base and is being lifted by the ship's starboard midship crane for stowage in number three hold. It is destined for Iran. A tracked bulldozer with rear-mounted crane is on the quay waiting to be loaded. The photographer is on the quay looking aft and to port showing the ship from midships aft. In the foreground is an Allis Chalmers fork lift truck with a crated Lister engine which is consigned to J.B.Y., Teheran, Khorramshahr. The ship is in Strick Line livery. A row of track mounted cranes is obscuring the stern of the ship. Transparencies numbers P64941CT to P64950CT and PCT1242 to PCT1244 were taken on the same occasion.
