Walpole (1918)
Scale 1;48. Plan shows the lower deck, hold and sections, as fitted, of the W-class destroyer Walpole (1918). The drawing shows the section frames 9, 20, 48, 53, 69 and 86 looking forward. The plan also shows the section frames 115, 129, 138, 150, 164 and 172 looking forward. The plan includes tables detiling the contents of the fuel tanks and shell magazines situated in the hold. The plan bears the signature of the Hull Overseer H. Williams. The drawing also contains the signature of the Director of William Doxford & Sons. A William Doxford & Sons Shipyard stamp, dated 7 August 1918 is printed on the left hand side of the plan. The drawing shows alterations in vermillion ink made at Chatham Dockyard dated March 1926. The drawing also shows modifications in purple ink made at Chatham Dockyard dated February 1929. The plan also shows alterations in carmine ink made at Portsmouth Dockyard dated November 1929.
