On board the British India Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Sangola (1947) while working cargo moored in Penang harbour. The photographer is looking to port and aft from the starboard side of the boat deck showing two hoists of sacked produce being lowered into number 3 hold by the ship's own derricks. Lifeboat number 12 is in the background and the wheelhouse and funnel of Waterboat No. 1 (Fl. 1958) can be seen alongside the ship. A vertical format image. Transparencies numbers PCT413 to PCT428 inclusive were taken on the same day.
