The photographer is on the port side abaft number 2 hold looking forward and to starboard showing a hoist of sacks being lowered into the hold. The large building beyond the lifeboat is the Custom House and the building next to it, with two domes, is the Court House. The building with the large bell tower is occupied by the Rangoon Port Authority.
