The photographer is on the quayside close to the stern looking forward showing a sling of sacks being hoisted by the ship's own derrick for loading into number four hold. The Singapore Harbour Board brow number 8 is rigged to a shell door amidships. Transparencies numbers PCT578 to PCT601 were taken on the same occasion.
