A port bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathardle (1967) alongside the Ocean Terminal at Kowloon, Hong Kong. Her starboard anchor is suspended below its hawse and the starboard hatch of number 3 hold is open. The P & O passenger/cargo liner Cathay (1957) is berthed astern. This is an after dark view, the ships have their floodlights on and the lights are on on Hong Kong Island. The photographer is on the roof of the terminal building and the advertising signs for Caltex and Yashica are illuminated. Transparencies numbers PCT642 and PCT643 were taken on the same occasion.
