A starboard bow view, taken from very fine off the bow, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathbrora (1967) under construction on the slip at the Mitsui Zosen shipyard at Tamano, Japan. The photographer is on the ground very close alongside the keel blocks. The shell of her hull aft of number five hold is complete and the decks aft of her engine room are in place. The lower hatch openings for number five hold can be seen. The hull of her sister ship Strathardle (1967) is on the adjoining berth nearing her launching stage, which took place on 19 September 1966.
