A man using a radio on the finger pier alongside the ore/bulk/oil carrier Kildare (1972) while in the iron ore loading port of Tubarao, Vitoria, Brazil. He is presumably controlling the loading of the iron ore. The photographer is looking west-south-west showing the forepart of the ship which is berthed on the north side of the finger pier. Iron ore is being loaded in number nine hold and this is probably an early evening scene. A vertical format image. Transparencies numbers PCT778 and PCT779 were taken on the same occasion. The Kildare arrived at Vitoria on 30 June and berthed on the finger pier. On 3 July she was moved to the main terminal and sailed fully loaded on 4 July 1974. Transparencies numbers PCT692 to PCT791 were taken during the same stay in port.
