An head and shoulders portrait of Captain Jerry McDermott on the bridge of the ore/bulk/oil carrier Kildare (1972) while alongside the finger pier in the iron ore loading port of Tubarao, Vitoria, Brazil. He is looking forward through the bridge window and is dressed in his white uniform with a short sleeved shirt. The ship is berthed port side to the pier and the photographer is looking to starboard. The Kildare arrived at Vitoria on 30 June and berthed on the finger pier. On 3 July she was moved to the main terminal and sailed fully loaded on 4 July 1974. Transparencies numbers PCT692 to PCT791 were taken during the same stay in port.
