A distant aerial port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the ore/bulk/oil carrier Irfon (1971) alongside the main terminal at the iron ore loading port of Tubarao, Vitoria, Brazil. The ship's 1, 4, 6, 8 and 11 hatches are open, she is loading at numbers 4 and 8 holds and is flying the Blue Ensign. The Irfon arrived in port at Vitoria on 6 July and berthed on the main terminal. She sailed fully loaded on 7 July 1974. Alongside the finger pier in the foreground are the Greek bulk carrier Kyriakoula D. Lemos (1966) and the Ugelstad bulk carrier Danita (1967). The photographer is looking at a low sun and the ships are almost in silhouette. Transparencies numbers PCT792 to PCT807 and PCT814 to PCT951 were taken during the same stay in port.
