A fish-eye lens view of the open number 3 hatch on board the Strick Line cargo liner Nigaristan (1970) berthed in a Japanese port. The photographer is to starboard of the centreline by the Stulcken derrick support looking aft showing the open hatch and the face of the superstructure. The ship is berthed port side to a wharf and the starboard side crane is moving a large wooden packing case. Many similar cases are in the hold which is well laden with other cargo in the tween decks. The transparency was processed in the Far East Laboratories Ltd in November 1974 and the mount was made in the U.S.A.
