A close view of the starboard bow and side of the P & O refrigerated cargo ship Strathardle (1967) in a Japanese port. The photographer is looking aft from close ahead of the starboard bow showing her starboard anchor suspended below its hawse and a number of local craft alongside amidships. The transparency is slightly out focus. A vertical format image. The Strathardle was handed over to P & O on 20 January and loaded cargo at Kobe before sailing for Yokohama on 26 January. After loading more cargo she sailed on 3 February for Hong Kong to continue her maiden voyage to London.
