The photographer is on the quayside abreast the brow which has E & A Line on it (Eastern & Australian Steam Ship Co Ltd). He is looking aft and to starboard and showing wool bales being swung aboard by the ship's own derrick, ready to be lowered into number three hold. A vertical format image.
