Loading wooden boxes on board a Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner of the Strathardle (1967) class in an unknown Japanese port. The photographer is on the starboard side of the deck abreast the forward end of number three hatch coaming looking aft and to port showing a sling of wooden boxes being lowered into number three hold by one of the ship's 5 ton cranes. A numbner of motor cars are stowed in number three tween deck on the port side.
