Fitting stabilisers to the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Himalaya (1949) in a London dry dock. The starboard stabiliser is being prepared to be fitted into the opening in the ship's hull just forward of the bilge keel. It is held by wire strops on the end of a geared chain pulley hoist. The work is being undertaken by R. & H. Green & Silley Weir Ltd. A vertical format transparency.
