TOn the right the steam tug Muria (1932), seen from fine off her port quarter, is towing a vessel stern first through the open swing bridge. The New Zealand Shipping Company passenger/cargo liner Rangitata (1929) is berthed starboard side to Shed 31-33 and is surrounded by dumb lighters. One of the New Zealand Shipping Company cargo liners of the 'P' class [Papanui (1943), Paparoa (1943) or Pipiriki (1944)] is astern of the Rangitata.
