Students boarding the British India Steam Navigation Company educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) in the Western Docks at Southampton. The students are boarding through a shell door on C Deck amidships and the photographer, R. Spillman, is standing on the quayside looking at the port side of the superstructure in way of the bridge. The ship is preparing to depart for a cruise to the Holy Land and Greece. A vertical format image. Negatives PM1818/1 to PM1818/4 were taken on the same occasion.
