A close view of a ship's anchor suspended below its hawse while the ship is alongside a berth at Piraeus, Greece. This is the starboard anchor of a rivetted steel vessel. The photographer, R. Spillman, is on shore during a Holy Land cruise of the educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956). A vertical format image. Negatives PM1848/1 to PM1853/28 were taken on the same day.
