A squad of Greek naval personnel on parade alongside the bow of the British India Steam Navigation company educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) which is on a berth at Piraeus, Greece. The squad of 24 men are carrying rifles with fixed bayonets and are standing at ease in three ranks. They are commanded by an ensign armed with a sword. The Nevasa's bow is seen from the starboard side. The photographer, R. Spillman, is on a cruise to the Holy Land from Southampton on board the Nevasa. A vertical format image. Negatives PM1848/1 to PM1853/28 were taken on the same day.
