A starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Chakla (1954) alongside Number 15 shed in the South West India Dock, London. She has maintenance boards suspended over the stern and they have been used to enable the ship's name and port of registry to be changed. The ship arrived on 2 January as the Swiftpool and sailed on 31 January as the Chakla. Negatives PM1864/28 to PM1865/34 were taken on the same day.
