The photographer is looking aft from the starboard side of the forecastle. The Willi Bredel is secured alongside and is seen from fine off her port bow while the transfer of the Fischmahl takes place. A vertical format negative. Negatives number PM1907/2A to PM1911/20A were taken on the same occasion.
