A port quarter view, taken from fine off the stern, of the Spanish general cargo turret ship Mari (1907) alongside a wharf at Morehead City, North Carolina. The horizon is not level. A vertical format negative. The photographer, Henry Bird, was an apprentice on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Inverbank (1924) which was at Morehead City to load a part cargo of scrap iron for delivery to the steel works at Kamaishi, Japan.
