The coast road on Nauru Island, South Pacific. The road runs for 12 miles all round the island and the motor car N-83 is one of the few motor vehicles registered on the island. The photographer is an apprentice serving on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Tymeric (1919) which was moored at the island to load a cargo of phosphate for delivery to Australia.
