The harbour and waterfront at Kamaishi, Japan. A number of vessels, mainly of wooden construction, are alongside the wharves and one is at moorings in the foreground. The photographer is on board the general cargo ship Inverbank (1924) which is in port to discharge a cargo of scrap iron from the U.S.A. Slide 10 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
