A full-length portrait of two Australian young ladies named Dorothy and Lorna on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Inverbank (1924) while docked at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. They are standing in the starboard aft corner of the bridge deck and Lorna is wearing a hat. The photographer is an apprentice on board and he is looking aft showing the top of the starboard lattice derrick which is serving number three hold. The ship is berthed starboard side to the wharf. A vertical format negative. Slide 18 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
