Loading maize into number 2 hold on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Inverbank (1924) at Rosario, Argentina. The photographer, an apprentice serving on board the ship, is looking to starboard and slightly aft from the port forward corner of the hatch coaming. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay and the cargo is being loaded through a large diameter steel pipe. Slide 23 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
