The English Church at Port Said, Egypt. This is a copy of the photographic print number 12 in Bird's photograph album No. 2 (ALB1406) and it is dated 1943 in this album, which corresponds to Bird's service as Third Officer on board the tanker Mactra (1936). However, it could have been taken in December 1940 when he was a 4th year apprentice on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Trentbank (1929) which was at Suez from 10 december 1940 to January 1941. Slide 38 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
