'A' turret on board the battleship Nelson (1925) during an open day. The photographer is on the port side of the forecastle looking to starboard showing the barrels and muzzles of the three 16 inch guns in 'A' turret. The tompions have the head of Nelson on them. Two of the ship's boats are just ahead of the turret breakwater and a group of public visitors is ahead of numbers 2 and 3 guns.
