A busy commercial street scene in Iskenderun, Turkey. A small mosque is in the background and it has two tall needle minarets, each with two platforms, and a stone minaret with a single platform. This is Slide 14 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Lumber, Lorries and Luck", about his service as Second Officer on board the Eskdalegate from 13 November 1976 to May 1977. The lecture consists of 44 out of 45 slides (Slide 1 is missing). Slides numbers PCT15877 and PCT15879 are of the same street and location but from different positions.
