A number of cargo ships at anchor off Lattakia, Syria, waiting for an unloading berth, seen from on board the cargo ship Eskdalegate (1969) which is also waiting at anchor. At this time there were some 60 ships awaiting a berth. This is Slide 33 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Lumber, Lorries and Luck", about his service as Second Officer on board the Eskdalegate from 13 November 1976 to May 1977. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
