Girl trainees working on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) under sail in Spithead. The photographer is on the starboard side of the deckhouse top looking aft showing the girls in a line holding a halyard, supervised by two of the ship's officers and their group leader. The girls are having to work round the two 16'9" oyster sloops which are stacked dory fashion. The mizzen sail is not fully hoisted.
