Girl trainees hauling on a foresail halyard or sheet on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under sail in coastal waters. They are on the starboard side of the deck abreast the trainee accommodation skylight. One of the girls is wearing the M5 armband and one is on the deckhouse top. Hooks for storing coils of rope have been welded to the side of the skylight. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to starboard from just to starboard of the centreline abreast the foremast.
