Boy trainees pulling on a mainmast halyard on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Malcolm Miller (1968) while the vessel is under sail in the Solent area. They are on the starboard side of the deckhouse top facing aft. The foresail is set and a boy is bending over near the 20 man liferaft. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the port side of the deckhouse top abreast the mainmast.
