A close view of the port side of the bow of the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) in Southampton Docks during the unveiling of a new figurehead. Her new figurehead is covered by a Sail Training Association flag. A Camper & Nicholsons Ltd workboat containing guests is close to the stem and Captain Swindells is watching a lady pulling the line that will release the flag and reveal the figurehead. The ship's crew of trainees is mustered on the quayside and they are standing in two ranks with arms folded.
