Trainees working on the port side of the foredeck on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under sail in Southampton Water. They are abreast the accommodation skylight and some are pulling aft on a halyard, but they are blurred by movement. Two others are standing with a braided rope, looking forward, possibly waiting for the moment to begin pulling. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to port from the port side of the foredeck abreast the foremast.
