Trainees on the foredeck and bowsprit working on the outer jib on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Malcolm Miller (1968) while under sail in Spithead.
Trainees on the foredeck and bowsprit working on the outer jib on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Malcolm Miller (1968) while under sail in Spithead. They are in wet weather gear and two are on the bowsprit netting. The others are on the starboard side, pulling on a rope to either hoist or lower the outer jib. The inner jib and the boom staysail are set and the flying jib is stowed. The photographer is looking forward from the port side of the foredeck abaft the windlass.
