Young male trainees hoisting the flying jib on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under sail in the Solent area. One of the lads is on the starboard side of the bowsprit netting near the head of the bowsprit, four are hauling on the halyard on the foredeck to port of the heel of the bowsprit and one is standing to starboard of the bowsprit looking up at the top of the foremast. The inner and outer jibs and the fore staysail are already set. The port anchor davit is rigged. The photographer is looking forward from the port side of the foredeck abaft the windlass.
