A young male trainee standing by the chart table on the starboard side of the bridge on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while in Southampton Water. He is looking forward and on the table are Chart Number 2041 of Southampton Water, a roll of Sellotape and the Decca Log book. Standing in a group just forward of the Oyster Sloops, which are stacked dory fashion, are the captain, senior officers and others, all looking to starboard. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to starboard from the aft end of the deckhouse top.
