A half-length portrait of Captain Peter Wyatt on the starboard side of the deckhouse top on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under way off Southampton Docks. He has a pair of Chinon 10x40 roof prism binoculars round his neck and has his hands in his pockets. He has a crew of young lady trainees and one of them is at the helm. A gentleman of the Sail Training Association is standing on the starboard side of the bridge. Both the main and mizzen sails are stowed. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to starboard from the starboard side of the deckhouse top ahead of the binnacle. A Norwegian flagged Royal Viking class cruise ship of 1972-1973 is alongside a quay in the left background.
