A distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the 3-masted schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) under sail in the Solent off Cowes with very many other vessels. She has all nine of her fore-and-aft sails set and has the sail mark TS K1 on her mizzen. The German Navy sail training cadet ship Gorch Fock (1958 is on the right and two other large square riggers are in the background. A large number of private yachts and motor launches are milling about. The vessels are getting ready for the start on 16 August of the Tall Ships Race.
