A close view of the foremast of the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) being lowered onto the ship while she is alongside the East Branch Dock in Tilbury Docks, Essex, during her annual refit. A quayside crane is lowering the mast into its position on the ship. The Sir Winston Churchill is berthed port side to the quay and is seen from well ahead of her beam with her mainmast in position but the mizzen is still missing. Her bow, stern, and the tops of her foremast and mainmast are out of the picture. A vertical format negative. Negative numbers P50605 to P50630 were taken on the same occasion.
