Girl trainees hauling on a mizzen sheet on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under sail in the Solent. The photographer is looking aft on the starboard side of the deck abreast the bridge showing the mizzen watch leader standing on the bridge handrail and the fiferail reaching up while other girls haul on a braided rope. The Bermudan mizzen is hanging loose and is either being hoisted or lowered. The two Oyster Sloops are stacked dory fashion on the deck. A vertical format negative.
