The photographer is probably looking north by north west from Bonny View down towards West harbour. A bow view of Jamaica Planter berthed at a jetty is in the middle ground. A partial view of Navy island is off Jamaica Planter's starboard side in the middle ground on the right hand side. This is Slide 35 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Caribbean Cargoes", about his service as Second Officer on board Jamaica Planter (1959) and Port Officer for Jamaica Banana Producers Steam Ship Company based at Kingston, Jamaica from 6 January 1971 to 26 April 1971. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
