A Portsmouth Dockyard Chief Constructor's stamp, dated 8 May 1895, is printed on the drawing. The stamp also bears the signature of L. G. Davies [Chief Constructor of Portsmouth Dockyard 1892-1895]. The drawing is torn in various places along the edges.
